It’s not like I attend the  Pleasure Faire every year.  I thought this might be a good time to return. I usually get a good collection of photos. This year not so much. I am not sure of why, but I walked around mostly disappointed. I understand that there are new operators and the changes I saw were not positive. For one thing, many of the performers that I had learned to expect and enjoy were no where to be found.  Also there is less of a sense of the following the idea of representing the renaissance period. The band in the bottom picture is an example of the several anachronisms that seemed to be promoted. It is a disappointment to see a long standing experience like the Faire to sellout its tradition. Things like food trucks are ubiquitous around town and one could turn to things like the Pleasure Faire to escape from the usual. Not anymore.
